Agnieszka Spalding

Born 1983, Lodz, Poland. Lives in Highlands, Scotland. Aga is a self-taught artist and finds that she is continually learning and evolving in her artwork. Her current body of work is focused on Scottish landscapes, her children portraits and paintings inspired by connection between the land, water and her children childhood. Agnieszka works with various mediums including watercolours, acrylics, pastels and oils. Every painting is a story, a glimpse of memory, a print of growing up in the Highlands. Paintbrushes and paints are tools to describe emotions, colours and forms instead of words. They also represent emotions related to being a mother, adapting to changes and getting through the journey of Motherhood.
