Aleksandra Ka Kusowska
Aleksandra is a single parent, Polish-Scottish visual artist working from Aberdeen. Activist, with a keen interest in psychology supporting also environmental and educational initiatives; local and international. Freedom to work creatively between many mediums it results her artwork puts an emphasis on the colour and frame. Photography and body movement (performance art) are established forms in Aleks projects. She also performs live music with the multicultural band in Aberdeen (dance and percussion). Aleksandra worked in varied organisations, independently and in collaborations. I play with elements, mood, sound, and a space, often with found objects. This leads to installations, performance, moving image, sculpture, creative workshops, figurative and abstract painting. Inspired by stories, words, nature, extensive shapes, and very petite ones, my imagination extract those and create compositions exploring the social and the cultural influences. Colour is also adopted under these affiliations.
