Lauren Bryden is an artist-maker working from a garden studio in Glasgow, Scotland. With training in Textile Design (2010, GSA) and Jewellery Manufacture (2015), experimentation and the making process are fundamental to the design and outcome of each piece. Lauren's collection of work sits between contemporary craft and art; influenced by the ethos of soviet designers such as Lyubov Popova who were termed ‘Artist Constructors’, her work reimagines ideas and memories, particularly from parenthood, on cloth, metals, paper and clay, using experimental craft processes to produce original colours, textures and images.
