Nurbanu Asena

Nurbanu Asena (’88) is a Turkish independent illustration and animation artist currently living in Cambridge, UK. She has a BA in Design & Technology (Parsons School of Design, New York) and MA in Screen Documentary (Goldsmith's University of London) as a Chevening Scholar. She mostly works on narrative projects that are in touch with psychology, society, children and empowerment. Her short films were shown in various festivals around the world and she has received a SIYAD (Film Critics Association) Award from Turkey. Since becoming a mother, her practise of storytelling turned into large scale illustrations and comic stories.
