CAROLINE KELLEY’s practice is research-based and multidisciplinary. She is especially interested in the subject of nature in literature and the visual arts, studies of tourism and travel narratives, and women’s life-writing and autobiography.  Caroline has presented and exhibited work in North America and Europe (including at Galerie les Territoires, Montreal, QC; Without Appeal and the Westminster Reference Library, London, UK; A.I.R. Bergen-USF Verftet and Studio Bergen, Bergen, NO; the Independent Media Center, Urbana-Champaign, IL and P.S. 122 Gallery, New York, NY) and has participated in international residencies at The Arctic Circle, Banff

in international residencies at The Arctic Circle, Banff Centre for the Arts, the Stiftelsen Kulturhuset USF, and the Santa Fe Art Institute for which she was awarded a Joan Mitchell Foundation grant. More recently, Caroline received a fellowship from the Adrian Piper Research Archive Foundation in Berlin. She has a D.Phil. and M.St. in Women's Writing and Gender Studies, Life-writing, from the Faculty of Medieval and Modern Languages, University of Oxford, and has studied art at the New York Academy of Art (MFA Program) and the Art Students League of New York. She lives with her husband and son in the Paris metropolitan area, France.
