Due to the ongoing Coronavirus Pandemic, our 2020 annual members’ show will be taking place virtually in the form of an online exhibition supported by a series of online artist talks. We are excited to also be publishing a limited-edition Home-works zine featuring the work of 33 Spilt Milk members.

For many artist mothers, the lines between home and work were already blurred, and the kitchen table has long been a multifunctioning site for art making. United by quarantine, Home-works brings together work produced during the first months of the pandemic by members located on different parts of the globe with varying degrees of ‘stay at home’ orders. Home-works explores the new, intensified relationship we have with home and questions; in this new world order where working from home has become legitimised, will the essential work of mothers finally be recognised?
