In partnership with Citizen Curator, we ran a series of childcare-supported creative workshops at Dr Bells Family Centre over the February and Easter school holidays. The workshops were designed to encourage local mums with young children to learn new creative skills and engage with the Unsung Leith project, looking at notable women who have shaped the community of Leith past and present.
The workshops were led by Spilt Milk founder Lauren McLaughlin and Spilt Milk Member, Fi Bailey and included introductions to printmaking, creative writing and collage to create portraits of inspiring women who have shaped the community of Leith. The resulting portraits and artworks produced by the women in these workshops have been incorporated into an A5 printed Zine. If you would like a copy please get in touch.
