Yulia Shtutman

Originally, from Moscow, Russia, now living in Eugene, Oregon, Yulia Shtutman (b. 1991) is an acclaimed multi-media artist with a message all her own - THINK! Her work is inspired by history, current events, literature, and of course her own life experiences which include traveling the United States as an 18 year old farm apprentice, living on a boat for years with her dog just outside of Seattle, and making/selling art on the streets of New York City, where she met the father of her son, Alexander.

“I gave birth to my first child in May, 2020. It was right at the beginning on the pandemic, and, partially do to the chaos, partially not, I ended up giving birth at home, with only the father of our son as the dula. That was the most powerful, intimate experience in my life. Motherhood has truly realized my purpose for being alive, and has entirely rearranged my physical, spiritual, and mental reality. My son has filled my existence with deep, sacral meaning, and has created a purposeful and meaningful eternity. The very first drawing I did as a mother was of him at 2 months old, and he has become an endless inspiration and the pinnacle of beauty in my eyes.”
