Ali Rose Mary
Ali Rose Mary is an artist living in Scotland. She works primarily in oils and uses imagination and memory as a starting point in her work. Her process in painting is entirely intuitive, allowing the paint and the act of painting to uncover lost memories, images and feelings - allowing the marks to intuitively lead to a narrative within each piece. Sometimes figurative characters emerge which are in essence self or familial portraits and are a snapshot of the interior journey. They show the subconscious illuminated and is very much focused on the lived experience of being female and a mother.
Ali Rose Mary is a self-taught artist and has joined the Turps Banana Correspondence Course 2022 – 2023 cohort. Her work has been exhibited in a number of exhibitions throughout the UK.
